Penn has adopted a phased implementation for the next generation of student systems. A phased approach minimizes disruption to ongoing operations, allows subject-matter and technical expertise to be concentrated efficiently, permits vendor platforms to mature, allows piloting of new integration technologies, and maintains reliable third-party services during the transition period.
The scope for the next releases involves replacement of the legacy student information system (SRS) and the legacy financial aid system (SAM), including configuration and conversion of the legacy data, integrations, and reporting.
