The Office of Student Financial Services is taking the opportunity afforded by an extension of vendor support for Penn’s legacy financial aid software to take a fresh look at the University’s financial aid business processes. The team is documenting how things are done today and envisioning how they might be done even better tomorrow. This work will inform the design of Pennant Aid so that it reflects the best thinking of Penn’s experienced professionals. The consulting firm Deloitte has been engaged to help facilitate the effort. The “as-is” process descriptions are complete. Analysis and “to-be” process descriptions are expected by the end of the summer. These results will help Pennant Aid support Penn’s priorities of innovation and inclusion long into the future.
