Instructors are now able to send support notices to their students in Course Action Notices. Instructors access Course Action Notices through a link on Courses@Penn. Instructors can also view absence notices from their students in Course Action Notices. More information about Course Action Notices is available in the “Instructor” section of the Pennant Records Resources & Support webpage. Information about supporting students is available from the Center for Teaching and Learning.
Currently, students submit absence notifications to their instructors using Course Action Notices through a link on Path@Penn. In the coming weeks, Course Action Notices will include students’ academic advisors in the communication between students and instructors. During the initial launch, however, the advising offices are not receiving the notices although advisors will see support notices in a student’s advising notes.
Support notices replace Course Absence Reports and Course Problem Notices, which were part of the former Penn InTouch system.
