NGSS Project Transition to Operational Support

The NGSS project officially ends on June 30, 2023 and transitions to a Pennant service delivery model. Three central university organizations will be responsible for supporting Pennant.

• Student Registration & Financial Services (SRFS) will continue to perform the core functions of the Bursar, Office of the University Registrar, and Student Financial Aid. SRFS will maintain partnerships with schools and centers in established advisory and working group meetings.
• A new Pennant Operations team is responsible for the new suite of Pennant applications. The team is charged with application administration, configuration of tools and products, execution and monitoring of scheduled processes, and maintaining the operational calendar.
• ISC’s Application Information Services (AIS) and Technical Services (TS) teams will continue to support the student information system in maintaining the technical infrastructure. The group will also have ownership over installation of new releases, technical impact analysis, as well as coding and development support.

A Pennant Support Transition Group, comprised of the leadership from the three support groups, is collaborating to establish the new operating model, facilitate the completion of tasks to close out the project, and finalize steady state processes.
