Courses@Penn Launches on May 2, 2022

April 25, 2022

Courses@Penn, a new Pennant Records system that faculty and staff will use for the Summer 2022 term and in the future to manage course information, view class lists and grading deadlines, and record grades, launches on May 2, 2022.

  • Continuing Transition to Pennant Systems. Instructors will use Courses InTouch to complete their management of the Spring 2022 term, following guidance from their schools and the Office of the University Registrar, and Courses@Penn to manage the Summer 2022 term and beyond. After the transition, Courses InTouch will no longer be available to manage courses.
  • System Outage. A widespread system outage will be in place during the weekend of June 17-19, to convert data from the Spring 2022 term to Pennant Records. Courses@Penn will be unavailable, as well as Advising@Penn and Path@Penn, which are among the newly launched suite of applications for academic advisors and students, and their legacy systems Advisor InTouch and Penn InTouch. Pennant systems will return on June 21 after the University’s observance of Juneteenth on Monday, June 20.
  • Support & Resources. Courses@Penn is an intuitive and streamlined platform to manage course information. No formal training is necessary. Instructors can access Pennant Records Resources & Support, which includes quick reference guides, live workshops and recordings, and an online method for submitting issues that are answered by experts for appropriate resolution.
  • Demonstrations of Courses@Penn. Summer instructors may view a recording of an April 8th demonstration. Schools will invite Fall 2022 term instructors to a live demonstration, which will be scheduled in late summer. Information on the demonstration will be available on the Future NGSS Information Sessions page of the NGSS website.
